Android 14 Release Highlights: Same but different

Hello Furries, it has been a while since we did one of these :)

So, Google had decided (well almost) that they wanted to release Android-14 to the public in September, but after some last-minute panic and totally-shitty Google-like decision-making, made 'em postponed the release by a month to the first week of October. Even with this delay, we have been ready to unveil our work on Android 14 for a while now.

Privacy, customizations, and well more privacy

Google promises to bring more customization, control and accessibility features to a Pixel device near you, while Ursamoon aims to extend that experience to as many devices as possible! Visually very little has changed between TwistedScarlett and Ursamoon, and these changes are subtle.
Android 14's updated customization picker makes it easier to switch between wallpapers and update what you want to see at a glance. You can now set custom lock screen shortcuts, like QR reader or the Google Home app, so you have quick, one-tap access to your most used controls directly from your Android lock screen.

More control over your health, security and data

Apps help people track their fitness, health and wellness levels. However, the collected data is often isolated within each particular app, limiting your visibility and control over your data. Health Connect is now built into your Android 14 settings as a central way to store all your data in one place and stay in control of your privacy. And your data is securely encrypted on your phone, which ensures Google or anyone else can't see or use it for any other purpose. Connect and sync your favourite health and fitness apps — like Oura, Peloton and Whoop — to get started.
